Ben Hill County Health Department will hold a drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday, April 17 from 8:15-11:45AM. During this clinic Moderna vaccine will be administered to participants.
“Appointments are required for the drive-thru clinic,” says Chris Naylor, RN, county nurse manager. “We are excited to offer another drive-thru clinic to our community and surrounding area. Our goal is to vaccinate 150 individuals on the 17th.”
To schedule an appointment for the drive-thru clinic call the South Health District COVID Call Center at 844-955-1499. Ben Hill County Health Department will also host a drive-thru clinic on May 22 to administer second doses to those who participate on April 17.
Although vaccine eligibility is now open to Georgians aged 16 and older, only individuals aged 18 and older will be able to be vaccinated at the drive-thru clinic due to the use of Moderna vaccine. Pfizer is the only vaccine currently approved for teens aged 16 and 17 years old.
