Tift County Health Department will host a drive thru flu clinic on Friday, October 20 at the health department from 7:30-10:30 am. Lessen your chances of getting the flu this year! Get the shot, not the flu…it’s as easy as driving thru!
“Everyone 6 months of age and older should get the flu vaccine each year; however, we can only give the vaccine to those 18 years and older in the drive thru clinic” states Mecca Reeves, RN, county nurse manager. “We try to make it as easy and efficient for our residents to get their flu shot each year by offering the drive thru and the onsite school flu clinics for children under 18 years of age.”
The flu shot is $38. High-dose vaccine will also be available to persons 65 years of age and older for $63. Cash, check, debit/credit card, Medicare, Medicaid, Cigna, Aetna, Coventry, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare will be accepted. For more information call Tift County Health Department at 229-386-8373.
