New Location to Open In December
(UPDATE 10/29/24: Due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene, the beginning of the move for Lanier County Health Department has been delayed until December 17)

LAKELAND, GA — The Lanier County Board of Health is excited to announce the upcoming relocation of the Lanier County Health Department.
The current facility, located on West Murrell Avenue, is expected to provide its final day of services on December 13, 2024. Health department staff plan to begin seeing patients at the new facility, located at114 South Oak Street, in mid December.
During the transition, Lanier County residents should expect a brief pause in services while the department completes its move. Lanier County Board of Health encourages patients to plan accordingly.
“We are extremely thankful to the Lanier County Board of Commissioners for providing this new facility so we can continue offering excellent care to our community,” said Lauren Lee, RN, BSN, Nurse Manager of the Lanier County Health Department. “We can’t wait to serve you all in the new health department.”
The new facility is designed to better serve the needs of Lanier County and is part of the Georgia Department of Public Health’s South Health District’s ongoing efforts to improve access to healthcare and deliver the highest quality public health services to our communities.
