Brooks County Health Department is experiencing a lot of changes as a new leader takes the reins. Dorcel Rockmore, RN, was named county nurse manager August 1.
Rockmore has more than 28 years of experience as a public health nurse with the Georgia Department of Public Health. “We expect Ms. Rockmore to bring new ideas and improvements to the health department through her leadership,” says Lisa Thomas, RN, clinical and nursing director of South Health District.
She has worked in the Brooks County community throughout her career in public health, conducting home and office visits with pregnant women in the Perinatal Case Management program. “We’re thrilled to have someone in the position that is familiar with Brooks County and what it all has to offer,” says Thomas.
Rockmore will be reaching out to businesses and agencies in the Brooks County community to collaborate on improving the health of its residents through on-site vaccination clinics and education. Clients should expect good customer service with a warm, friendly smile while receiving timely, professional service under Rockmore’s leadership.
