South Health District’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Program provides screenings to those who qualify. For women age 40-64 who are uninsured or under-insured, the program provides clinical breast exams, mammograms, and pap smear with follow-up as needed to detect early cancer and pre-cancers of the breast and cervix. For women 21-64 who meet eligibility requirements, the program provides pap tests, pelvic exams, and follow up as needed.
Early detection is key. This program can help lower the rate of developing breast and/or cervical cancer.
Screening Services:
- Clinical Breast Exam
- Mammograms, if age 40 or over (referrals for mammograms are made to local providers)
