OCILLA – The Irwin County Health Department will host a Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness event on Wednesday, October 16, from 1–3 p.m. at the clinic, located at 407 W. Fourth Street.
The drop-in event will feature photo backdrops, snacks, and a “Cupcake Challenge,” where attendees can enjoy a sweet treat and take on our challenge to share the message about the importance of regular breast and cervical cancer screenings with at least three other women. Swag bags filled with cancer-related items will also be available for attendees to take home. Everyone is welcome.
Health department staff will also be available to provide information about the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP), which helps eligible women access vital screening and diagnostic services.
Join us for an afternoon of education, awareness, and community connection and help us spread the word about lifesaving cancer screenings.
