Georgia WIC Update 10/29/2025

At this time, there are no impacts to Georgia WIC services due to the federal government shutdown. If this changes, WIC clients will be contacted by our WIC staff directly.
• At this time WIC clinics remain open to provide food benefits, provide nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals.
• WIC benefits are not affected, at this time. However, a break in WIC benefits could occur due to a prolonged federal government shutdown. DPH is evaluating options to extend these benefits as long as possible.
• At this time, eWIC cards work at all authorized stores.
• Appointments are not canceled — please attend as scheduled.
• No food shortages or restrictions related to the federal government shutdown are in place at this time.
• We will provide updates as new details become available.
