South Health District

Oral Health

South Health District’s Oral Health program is primarily a school-based dental health education for PreK – 5th grade students.  Oral Health educates on the importance of flossing, brushing, dental wipes, proper nutrition, tobacco cessation, and oral piercing.  Free toothbrushes are given to all children.

February is National Children’s Dental Month and all schools receive dental education materials plus toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss.

We provide educational information for WIC clients and at health fairs.
