Children with Special Needs
The Children with Special Needs Unit consist of Babies Can't Wait, Children's Medical Services, Children 1st and High Risk Infant Follow-Up. These programs work together to provide family-centered services to children and families eligible for the programs.
| Babies Can't Wait - Serving children, ages birth to 3, with significant developmental delays or children who may be at risk for delays due to a diagnosed medical condition. |

| Children's Medical Services - Providing various services to individuals, birth to 21, who meet the program's eligibility requirements. |

| Children 1st - Provides general follow-up and tracking to ensure every child is connected to a healthcare provider for children, birth to 5 years of age. The program is also designed to provide periodic health information to parents. |

| High Risk Infant Follow-Up - To ensure that every newborn, birth to 1 year of age, in the state of Georgia, particularly those at risk physically, developmentally, neurologically, and/or socially will have access to an informed public health nurse. |
